Dad, 43, left fighting for life in Benidorm after he was ‘punched outside nightclub’
Andrew Frazer, a 43-year-old man from Sutton, St Helens, is currently in a coma fighting for his life after an alleged assault outside a nightclub in Benidorm. He had flown to the Spanish resort to celebrate his brother Ian’s birthday but was found unconscious on the street less than 24 hours later. Claire Howard, his sister-in-law, shared with the ECHO that Andrew suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital without travel insurance. His wound was simply stapled, and he was discharged back to his hotel without a CT scan. Unfortunately, his condition worsened the following day, revealing a severe brain bleed that required urgent medical attention.
After Andrew’s family received news of his critical condition, they embarked on a journey to be by his side. Claire and her sister Carrie rushed to Benidorm, where they discovered Andrew struggling to communicate, writhing in pain and unable to express himself verbally. The situation escalated, leading to emergency surgery as Andrew faced a life-threatening brain bleed.
