I went to my home Eisteddfod and it left me wishing one thing

The Eisteddfod came to my home town, Pontypridd, and I attended for the first time despite not speaking Welsh. The experience made me wish I could speak the language even more. The event showcased Welsh talent and culture, with plenty of food, activities, and stalls to enjoy. Despite the language barrier, there was a great atmosphere with Welsh being spoken on the streets. The Eisteddfod’s presence in the area highlights the need for more investment in Welsh education to support the Welsh Government’s goal of creating a million Welsh speakers by 2050.
