Multi-agency land and sea search at Welsh coast for missing man

A man has been reported missing in Wales, sparking a multi-agency search on land and sea along the Welsh coast. Concerns arose when the man did not return home after visiting Fishguard, prompting Avon and Somerset Police to seek assistance in locating him on Friday. The man had been known to be in the area on Wednesday, October 30, and worries mounted when he failed to come back home the following day.

Police resources, including Dyfed Powys Police, HM Coastguard, and RNLI teams, were mobilised for the search operation. Land and sea-based search efforts were conducted throughout the day, with the operation being called off at 7:20 pm, to resume on Saturday morning.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police stated that they had been involved in a collaborative search throughout the day for the missing man in the Fishguard area. The call for assistance came from Avon and Somerset Police just before 10:20 am on Friday, November 1. The police, along with HM Coastguard and RNLI teams, carried out extensive searches on both land and sea before postponing the search in the evening, to be continued the next day.
