Are you a passionate football fan? Take this quiz to find out…
Research has indicated that a significant proportion of football fans display their enthusiasm for the sport by damaging their belongings while celebrating. The survey was commissioned by tech brand HONOR, with over 1,000 football fans participating.
From the number of matches you watch to your involvement in fantasy football leagues, these questions aim to determine whether you are a die-hard fan or a casual observer. According to the study, one-third of football fans have experienced mishaps such as spilling drinks on themselves, tearing clothes, or breaking their phone screens in moments of excitement.
The top blunders reported include drenching themselves with a full drink (12 per cent), ripping a cherished piece of clothing (8 per cent), and cracking their phone screen (7 per cent). A spokesperson for HONOR highlighted that football fans are the essence of the game, creating a unique atmosphere of unity and pride both in the stadium and at home.
To prevent further mishaps, the brand wrapped an entire bar in Barcelona in bubble wrap during a match between Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Despite the accidents, 64 per cent of fans believe that these incidents are justified for the thrill of witnessing a goal.
The research also found that 14 per cent of supporters are less concerned about their possessions when celebrating during a game, with some even tossing their phones in the air. The spokesperson for HONOR noted that the passion and adrenaline experienced during a match make football the beautiful game that it is.
While some fans may encounter ‘football fails,’ the excitement of seeing their favourite team score a goal outweighs any material damage. The joy of the crowd and the pride in witnessing a goal create lasting memories for fans, making football an unmatched experience.
In conclusion, football fans’ unwavering support and dedication contribute to the vibrant spirit of the sport, transcending beyond the game itself. The quiz serves as a fun way to reflect on the level of passion each fan holds for the beloved game.
