New photo released 20 years after man goes missing on golfing weekend

New photo marking 20 years since a man disappeared on a golfing weekend has been released by Wales Online.

James Nutley, who went missing from Tenby in 2004 at the age of 25, was last seen walking back to his hotel on CCTV after a night out at the Prince of Wales pub. The following day, his driving licence and other cards were found on Tenby’s South Beach, sparking two decades of searches and investigations.

Described as a keen golfer who had just landed his dream job as a demonstrator for Titleist, James had no history of mental health issues. Despite the passage of time with no significant leads, his parents remain relentless in their search for answers. In a bid to keep the public aware, they have collaborated with forensic artist Tim Widden to produce an age-progressed image of what James could look like now at the age of 45.

In an emotional plea, James’s parents, Catherine and Jeff Nutley, expressed their unwavering hope that their son is still alive, as there is no concrete evidence suggesting otherwise. They continue to visit Tenby regularly, retracing James’s steps from the night he disappeared, pondering the mystery of how his belongings ended up on the beach without any sign of James.

At the time of his disappearance, James was described as 6’2” with blue eyes and brown hair, wearing a white top with blue sleeves and blue jeans. The newly released image reconstruction aims to raise awareness and potentially generate new leads in the case.

Missing People’s publicity officer Ndella Senghore appealed directly to James, urging him to reach out if he sees the image. The organisation offers a non-judgemental and confidential support service for missing individuals and their loved ones. Sightings and information can be reported anonymously through their website.

The public can assist in the search for James by visiting the Missing People website to report sightings, download posters, and share his story on social media platforms.

The Nutley family’s enduring hope and determination serve as a poignant reminder of the impact of unresolved disappearances on loved ones. As the mystery surrounding James Nutley’s disappearance enters its third decade, his family continues to seek closure and answers, refusing to give up on finding their beloved son.
