Gill Catchpole, the partner of singer James Morrison, has been discovered deceased at her residence in Whitminster, Gloucestershire, on Friday morning. Authorities are treating the death as non-suspicious.
Ms. Catchpole, a mother to Mr. Morrison’s two daughters, had been in a relationship with the singer since their teenage years. Police responded to a call concerning a woman in her 40s, and the incident has been reported to the coroners and the woman’s next of kin.

James Morrison, a Warwickshire-born singer who achieved two Number One albums since 2006 and secured the Brit Award for Best British Male in 2007, grew up in Cornwall and began his musical journey by busking on the streets of Newquay. In 2022, he returned to Newquay to contribute to fundraising efforts for the cancer wards at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Additionally, Morrison has actively supported a local food bank in the Cotswolds, near his residence. The tragic loss of Gill Catchpole is a somber event for the singer and their family, and condolences have been extended to them during this difficult time.
