Stunning trail running event announced in the heart of the Brecon Beacons

A new and exciting trail running event has been announced in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, promising participants an adventure through the stunning landscapes of one of the UK’s most popular national parks. The RunThrough Trails event is designed for trail runners seeking a challenge, offering three different distances amidst the picturesque scenery of the Brecon Beacons. The event, part of the RunThrough Trails SUMMIT Series, features a 10K route, a 24K (15 miles) route, and a challenging 51K ultra race (equivalent to 32 miles).

Starting from the village of Talybont-on-Usk, runners will traverse through the hills and valleys of the Brecon Beacons on marked routes that include rugged trails, climbs, and descents. The 24K and 51K routes will have multiple aid stations along the way to support runners with hydration and nutrition as they tackle the demanding terrain. The event is tailored for experienced trail runners looking to elevate their running experience in a breathtaking natural setting.

The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 9 August 2025, with registrations currently open. Spaces for the Brecon Beacons 10K, 24K, and 51K Ultra are limited, so participants are encouraged to secure their spots early. The race director at RunThrough Trails, James Tilley, expressed excitement about bringing this new trail running event to the Brecon Beacons, known for its challenging and picturesque trails. The organisers are eager to witness participants taking on this thrilling adventure.
