Stereophonics announce extra Cardiff date after ‘phenomenal demand’ for 2025 tour

Stereophonics has delighted fans by announcing an additional Cardiff date for their 2025 tour in response to what they describe as “phenomenal demand.” The popular Welsh rock band, who had previously confirmed a performance at Principality Stadium on Saturday, July 12, 2025, will now also be taking to the stage on Friday, July 11. Tickets for both shows will go on general sale this Friday, October 11. It is important for fans to note that while the tickets for the Saturday show will be available through Ticketmaster, those for the Friday gig will be sold separately.

Having taken a three-year break, Stereophonics is gearing up for this highly anticipated tour. Lead singer Kelly Jones, who has been keeping busy with projects such as touring and recording with Far From Saints and his solo album and tour, expressed his excitement for the upcoming performances. The tour is set to commence in Belfast at Belsonic, with stops planned at various major venues across the UK and Ireland, including the grand Principality Stadium in Wales.

In addition to their Cardiff dates, the tour will see Stereophonics play at Anne’s Park, Cork’s Virgin Media Park, London’s Finsbury Park, Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium, and Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park as part of the Summer Sessions. The tour will conclude with a massive hometown show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Jones shared his pride in the band’s journey, stating, “From seeing the Stones at the (Arms Park) stadium in 1987 with my big brothers to then playing it for the fifth time to the Welsh people who have held us in their hearts all these years means the world to me.”

The upcoming tour promises to feature the band’s classic hits like Dakota, Have A Nice Day, Maybe Tomorrow, and C’est La Vie, alongside tracks from a new studio album slated for release in 2025. The special guests joining Stereophonics on this tour will be revealed at a later date. Fans can look forward to further updates as the tour approaches. Tickets for both Cardiff shows will be available for purchase on Friday, October 11, at 9 am through various platforms including stereophonics.com, ticketmaster.co.uk, gigsandtours.com, and myticket.co.uk.
