The DIY SOS team is calling for support from local tradespeople, volunteers, contractors, and suppliers who are willing to lend their skills and materials from Wednesday, November 27, through to Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The first time DIY SOS came to Swansea was in 2014 when they helped Jack Morris, who had a rare form of muscular dystrophy, improve his home’s accessibility. Subsequently, in 2017, the show embarked on its biggest build at the time, creating a space for children leaving care. In 2020, DIY SOS partnered with a charity in Swansea to build a new home for a surf school catering to disabled individuals. Each project highlighted the show’s commitment to making a positive impact through home transformations.
The upcoming project in Swansea will require a ‘trades briefing day’ on Tuesday, November 5, with the main build scheduled from Wednesday, November 27, to Wednesday, December 4, culminating in a reveal on Thursday, December 5.
