Mumbles Big Wheel Operators Announce Plans for the Future and Promise ‘Bigger and Better’
The Mumbles Big Wheel, a striking attraction at the seaside destination, is preparing to bid farewell to its current location but promises a return in grandeur. The iconic structure is now closed to the public as it gets ready for relocation to Swansea city centre. Scheduled to reopen at Museum Green on Friday, November 15, the big wheel will once again be a highlight of the annual Waterfront Winterland event. This festive attraction also includes an ice rink, an Alpine bar village, and a funfair.
Expressing gratitude to the community for their support during its tenure at Mumbles Pier, the operators of the Big Wheel have assured fans of a comeback that will be “bigger and better” next year. Plans are in place for special offers and giveaways to enhance the visitor experience.
A statement from the operators stated, “Unfortunately, we are now closed at Mumbles Pier and will be re-opening on Friday, November 15 at Waterfront Winterland. Thank you to all those who have supported us and visited during our first year down at Mumbles Pier. We’re looking forward to returning bigger and better next year with more great offers, giveaways and more.”
The Big Wheel’s relocation marks the end of its presence in Mumbles for now, but excitement brews for its return to Swansea city centre where it will continue to captivate visitors at the Waterfront Winterland. Stay tuned for further updates and announcements as this iconic attraction prepares for its grand reopening.
