British Transport Police are currently investigating an incident in which a passenger was reportedly “punched several times by a stranger” on a train headed to Cardiff. The altercation took place on the train travelling between Portsmouth Harbour and Cardiff on Thursday, August 22. It is believed to have occurred while the train was en route between Warminster and Trowbridge, somewhere between 7.10pm and 7.30pm.

Authorities have recently released images of a man they are eager to speak with, as they believe he may possess valuable information that could assist in their investigation efforts. A spokesperson for the British Transport Police stated, “Officers investigating an assault on board a train from Portsmouth Harbour to Cardiff are today releasing these images in connection with the case.”

The spokesperson continued, “Sometime between 7.10pm and 7.30pm on Thursday 22 August, a passenger was punched several times by a stranger as the train travelled between Warminster and Trowbridge.” The police are urging anyone who may have pertinent information to come forward.
